Do you take insurance, and how does that work?
At Tide and Shore Therapy, we are committed to offering you the highest level of care in a way that protects your privacy and clinical autonomy. To maintain this standard, we are out-of-network providers and do not accept direct reimbursement from insurance companies. While we do not bill insurance directly, many of our clients with PPO insurance plans are eligible for partial reimbursement, typically ranging from 50–80% of the session fee. We encourage you to use the benefits-checking tool below to explore your out-of-network coverage. We will provide you with a superbill—an itemized receipt containing all the necessary information—which you can submit to your insurance company for potential reimbursement.
Do you offer telehealth or virtual sessions?
Yes! Telehealth sessions can provide the same benefits as in-person therapy from the comfort of your home. We use a secure, HIPAA-compliant EHR system to ensure the confidentiality of sessions. Many clients report that they prefer the convenience of telehealth options after trying both in-office and virtual sessions.
How many sessions do most clients have?
It varies, but on average clients attend 12-15 weekly sessions before termination. Depending on the individual need of clients, course of treatment can be a 6-session intensive program or long-term weekly therapy for 1–2 years.
How do I contact my therapist?
You will be provided with your therapist's direct line and email address once you are officially on their caseload. For scheduling, billing, and clinical questions, feel free to reach out to them directly!
How do I schedule/reschedule/cancel sessions?
Your therapist will handle these requests directly. Let them know via text or call that you need to make a change, and they will take it from there. Requests on the SimplePractice platform are not guaranteed to be processed, so please contact your therapist for any changes.
