Aetna Insurance Through Alma
If you have Aetna insurance, contact me and I may be able to take on a limited amount of clients through the billing platform Alma. These companies handle billing and documentation directly. However, if you have a PPO plan and do not want to share your protected health information with insurance companies or be limited in amounts of sessions while risking an increased premium, you are encouraged to use out-of-network benefits as Kaidi is not directly paneled with insurance companies. Truth is, you'll typically have an annual deductible for healthcare, and until that amount is reached, all services are paid for by you. Depending on your situation, out-of-network cost may be very similar to insurance cost. Couples and families are private pay clients with monthly superbills only.
Private Pay Rates
Individuals: $210 for 50-minute sessions
Couples and families: $250 for 50-minute sessions
Sliding scale: limited daytime slots may be available, as low as $170/session. Contact practice manager to discuss details
Why Private Pay?
At Tide and Shore Marriage and Family Therapy, I am committed to offering you the highest level of care in a way that protects your privacy and clinical autonomy. To maintain this standard, I am an out-of-network provider and do not accept direct reimbursement from insurance companies. I have years of clinical experience and am committed to the quality of your care. In therapy, I believe, fit is more important than price. I am here to build a relationship with you, unmonitored and uncensored by others.
What does this mean for you?
While I do not bill insurance directly, many of my clients with PPO insurance plans are eligible for partial reimbursement, typically ranging from 50–80% of the session fee.
I will provide you with a superbill—an itemized receipt containing all the necessary information—which you can submit to your insurance company for potential reimbursement.
Please note:
Unfortunately, HMO, Medi-Cal, and Medicare plans do not offer reimbursement for out-of-network providers, as they require services to be rendered by in-network clinicians.
