About Kaidi Liu
You feel overwhelmed by the relentless trials in life. You do your very best at delivering what's acceptable, but difficult emotions seem to be in control of you. You wonder why it's so difficult to be with your thoughts, why a stable connection with others feels so hard to establish, and why it feels so impossible to please everyone without compromising your own well-being. These questions confront you so often, but you are struggling to find the answers.
I am passionate about helping adults and teens with depression, anxiety, and OCD through an integrated approach in therapy, incorporating various theoretical frameworks including attachment-based therapy, psychodynamic therapy, and cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT). I care about results and value your feedback. You'll be discovering tools that work for you.
My clients told me that, through improved self-knowledge, they've found what fulfillment means to them. You will be held and encouraged to answer the hard questions you are facing. You'll be given tools and guided toward deepened self-knowledge. Therapy is no easy fix, but I believe in the value of emotional honesty. Feelings are here to help us.
I received my Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of Southern California while conducting fieldwork training as an MFT intern with a community mental health agency serving diverse populations. During my studies, I have also gained experience working as an applied behavioral analysis (ABA) therapist servicing children on the Autism spectrum. My Bachelor of Arts from the University of California – Los Angeles and a dual Master’s in Communication Studies from California State University – Northridge have prepared me with a researcher’s lens into complex human experiences. Since graduation, I have worked at a group private practice servicing a wide variety of diagnoses and populations, including children, adolescents, adults, and elders, as well as couples and groups. I am especially passionate about working with anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance abuse.
